Sunday and went to the English service at AIC church. Good sermon. Then after I came home because I really didn’t want to sit through the Swahili service. So I came home and now I’m here alone. It’s really nice not to have anyone else in the house right now. So often the house has other people in it and there is always a lot of noise. People talking, a baby crying, and the ever present talk radio blaring away.
I want to go into town and go to the coffee shop. I hear it’s where all of us white folk go to have a taste of home. So I’m wondering if I’ll be able to go. I’ll only get on a motorcycle with Michael and there’s no way I’ll get in a Matado. HUM I wonder...
I read your post on the castaway widow. That hit a sour note with me. You are definitely not a castaway and neither am I. I admire you for standing up for yourself, for giving of yourself, your a strong woman. As widows, God uses us in many ways. We have God as our husband, I know it isn't the same as a human partner but God is there and He takes care of us in a special way. Also, God doesn't push widows aside. God commands people and family to take care of the widows and orphans. If God put widows in the bible then we are very important to Him. Father to the fatherless, defender of widows.....this is God, whose dwelling is holy. Psalm68:5 Maybe this man who was preaching needs to look up some verses in the bible.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin, lol!
You are a disciple, with a willing heart for God and His work. Keep going, your doing great work for His kingdom.
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed. 2 Corinthians 4:8
Sunday service was good. Pastor John preached on Abraham in Genesis, and the choir sang beautifully as usual, also great praise and worship. It was good!
I hope you got to go to the coffee shop. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be in another Country and not see loved ones or friends or familiar surroundings. I bet you have made allot of new friends and are getting to know the area really good.
I am praying God gives you strength for the mission you are on.
Take care, love in Christ, Genece
